Welcome to Manchester United, Carlos Henrique Casemiro!!
We’re finally getting arguably the best DM in the world! Brazilian international and “former” Real Madrid player Casemiro has agreed to join United. The transfer has been confirmed by Manchester United and Real Madrid.
The transfer fee is €70M with €10M in add-ons. Casemiro will sign 4 year contract with am option to extend 1 year. Salary is undisclosed. It is understood he will earn in the range of €375K-425K per week, making him among the top wage earners in world football.
Casemiro has been one of the best midfielders in the past few years. The 5 time Champions League winner will join his former Real Madrid teammates Cristiano and Raphael Varane in the famous red shirt.
Casemiro, the invisible man.
When I say arguably the best defensive midfielder in the world, I’m being humble. Indeed it’s hard to find a better DM. The names that come close are Rodri, Kante and Kimmich. But I doubt they’re better than the Brazilian.
The transfer is a bit strange as well. It begs the question – why would Casemiro leave current champions of Europe for a struggling side, as put forth by Carlo Ancelotti. Well, the answer is simple, in this case the struggling side asking for the player is Manchester United. Casemiro sees United as a new challenge, having won every major honor in European club football.
No matter what, Glazers Out.
If someone told me a week ago we would sign Casemiro I would take that as a joke. It happened swiftly. And there is a reason why. Glazers want to subvert Monday’s protests. This won’t happen. Although Casemiro is a very good signing, it does not change the fact that there’s really no way back to the supporters for Glazers. That’s the transfer United fans are looking forward to the most. Glazers have to go.
